The administration is also preparing a domestic funding request.
On Friday, the White House sent an emergency funding request to Congress, asking for approximately $100 billion for border security, and for assistance for allies in the Indo-Pacific, for Israel, and for Ukraine.
White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said earlier in the week that the White House is preparing another supplemental spending package for domestic issues. This announcement comes just a week after the administration pitched a separate spending package to Congress, requesting $106 billion in supplemental funding for Israeli and Ukrainian defense.
This new supplemental package is expected to request around $50 billion for workplace child care, natural disaster relief, and more resources for wildland firefighters.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and administration officials as they seek funding for government agencies and projects.
- For members of Congress to be prudent in their appropriations of taxpayer dollars.
